At Coast we are passionate about seafood. We aim to bring the best products to your kitchen from all over the world, not just today but for years to come. That's why where possible we are determined to source fish and shellfish from sustainable sources and well managed fisheries. Ethical methods of fishing, for example using poles to catch Yellowfin Tuna in the Indian Ocean, not only ensure that stocks are conserved but also guarantee that fish enters the chain in the best possible condition. We actively promote fish that are readily available in good volumes and guide our customers away from pressure stocks and endangered species, such as Bluefin Tuna. Under sized fish from any source are avoided and we only use mature specimens.

Closer to home, Coast support the responsible fishing schemes operated by the Seafish Industry Authority and always try to buy the best fish from local inshore boats, such as Bass and Mackerel caught off the Jurassic Coast by hook and line. As much of our shellfish as possible is bought from Dorset crabbers, lobster fisherman and growers, often with full traceability to enable the continued monitoring of stocks.
